Donald; Winifred Mary Maude (nee Brady) - In her 91 st year, passed away with peaceful strength at Fairmount Home surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her husband Robert (1980), her brothers Perce, Herb, and Joe. Wynne leaves behind her loving children Gail Heywood (Keith), Kirk (Ingeborg), Heather Morrow (Roger) and Wendy Ellarma (Basilio). She was a very special grandma to Cathy, Brian (Kim), Carlyle, Bronwyn, Kelvin, Derek (Shirley), Kathleen, Stephan (Amy), Michael (Jenn), Eric (Carolyn), Hillary (Warren), Lillian (Dave), Angie (Dave), Jennifer (Rob) and Jessica and they will miss her greatly. She will always have a special place in the hearts of her 14 great grandchildren and her 5 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind two dear friends, Elisabeth and Alison. Winifred had a real zest for life. She was a strong, independant woman who was a lifelong student of the Science of Being. She was the great Matriarch of the Donald Clan who instilled a profound sense of family that is cherished by all. Until recent years, Wynne was always busy and involved with things such as Scottish Country Dancing, aquafit, playing bridge, swimming, enjoying the cottage, canoeing, travelling, but best of all were all the many family gatherings. Her "joie de vivre" will live on. A special thanks to the Fairmount Home Staff for their great kindness and caring. In accordance with Wynne's wishes cremation has already taken place with Interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Reception Centre of the Wartman Funeral Home - Kingston Chapel (980 Collins Bay Road at Taylor Kidd Blvd, Kingston, K7M 5H2 (613-634-3722) on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 1 - 4 p.m.. As expressions of sympathy, donations by cheque to Fairmount Nursing Home or a charity of your choice will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
