Parsons; Wilma - March 3, 1919 - April 7, 2012 Wilma Mary Parsons (nee Jennings) passed away peacefully at the Trillium Ridge Centre on Saturday April 7, 2012 at the age of 93. Daughter of the late Sydney and Florence Jennings. Predeceased by her husband Gordon E. Parsons, companion Edward Brough, sisters Peggy & Nora and Great Grandson George. Mother of Diana (Rick) of Barrie and Betty (Cornelis) of Kingston. Grandmother of Adam (Celine), Robyn (Leor), Crystal (Jeramy) and Aaron. Great Grandmother of Eric and Charlotte. Wilma served as a Nurse with the Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps in England during WW2 and was with one of the first Nurses Corps to land during D-day. She was a farmers wife and active member of Violet Hill Womens Institute and Stroke Recovery Group in Shelburne, Ontario. In later years she enjoyed her life long passion of travelling and during her life explored most parts of the world. In accordance with Wilma's wishes there will be no funeral service. The family wish to thank the staff of the Trillium Ridge Centre, Cottage Unit for their loving and tender care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations by cheque to the Alzheimer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kingston Public Library would be appreciated by the family.
