Condolences

Condolence From: Elsbeth
Condolence: It is with a heavy heart and tear filled eyes that I write this.
William Matthews, my grampy, was a wonderful man. He was the kindest, gentlest, most loving man you could hope to meet.
He was a hard worker who rarely complained about anything or anyone. Always ready with a joke and could lighten your heart on the worst of days.
He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I am sad that my boys will grow up without getting to know him as my brothers and I did. But they will know of him, his quick wit and his wonderful sense of humour, and of our love for him.
He is and will always be sadly missed by all who were blessed enough to know him. Even though he has passed he will be remembered warmly and lovingly by family and friends alike.
Rest in peace grampy, I love you and I know you're still looking out for us.
Love always Elsbeth

Condolence From: Ian Matthews
Condolence: William Edward Matthews was a great man. A dedicated and stoic family man. He loved his wife and children very much and his grandchildren even more.
He was a skilled craftsman and a consummate outdoor enthusiast whether it was hunting or fishing or simply camping.
He was a brave sailor who served his country proudly and also a peaceful soul who loved to feed the birds and watch the sunrise.
Some of my earliest memories are of sitting on his lap and visiting for Christmas.
He lived a full life and was loved by his family a great deal. He will be sorely missed and even though he may be gone, his name will live on in his son, William Matthews, his grandson Ian William Edward Matthews and his great grandson Auryn William Thomas Matthews.

Gramps we love you very much and you shall be missed.
Love always, Ian

Condolence From: Terry Matthews
Condolence: It is so hard to say goodbye to such a kind and generous man whom I had the honour of calling dad for so many years. I will always remember his gentle nature, infinite patience and mischievous sense of humour. I can still hear Dad's voice when we ended our phone calls saying to me, 'Good night! God bless!' Love you, Dad. Be at peace. Know how much you are loved and missed. Daughter-in-law, Terry

Condolence: My sincerest thoughts to my whole family. Especially to my Dad and Grandmother. Gramps was a wonderful soul. He was always quick with a smile and a joke. He could make you laugh, rain or shine, and no matter what he always had a twinkle in his eyes.
He will always be loved and sorely missed.
His Loving Grandson,
Ethan

Condolence From: Glenda and Joe Fisher
Condolence: Hi Aunt Pat and family, we are so sorry about the loss of Uncle Bill. He will be missed and I always looked forward to his Christmas calls or his calls to check up on my Mom (his sister Bevy). He would always track her down at my place or call me to find out where she was if he didn't get an answer at her place, especially on her birthday call. We are not able to attend his memorial service next Tuesday, but we will hold you in our thoughts and prayers. We will remember our many laughs. Love from Glenda and Joe.

Condolence: To my sister-in-law, Pat and family, please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of Bill. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend his memorial service next Tuesday and I did have a nice chat with both Bill and Carolyn today. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. I will cherish the fond memories that we share. Rest in peace Bill. Love from your sister Bevy and family XO.
