Obituary for Roxanne Elizabeth Kenny (Nolan)

Kenny; Roxanne E. (nee Nolan) - Incredibly strong woman who fought a courageous and determined battle with cancer passed away at St. Mary's of the Lake on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at age 48. Beloved wife of Jim Kenny and much loved mother of three beautiful children; Alicia, Jamie and Luke. Adored daughter of Shirley Lewis (Anthony) of Peterborough and the late Frederick Nolan. Daughter-in-law of Helen Kenny and the late Glenn Kenny of Seeley’s Bay. Cherished sister of Sonia Gentile (Peter) and Raelene Twomey (Brian) of Kitchener. Sister-in-law of Joanne Paige (Donald), Gerald Kenny (Jennette), Janet Kenny and Jane Kenny. Roxanne will be greatly missed by many additional family members and friends. Her down to earth attitude, straight forward approach and commitment to family will be remembered by all. Roxanne is resting peacefully at the WARTMAN FUNERAL HOME "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Road at Taylor Kidd Blvd., Kingston K7M 5H2 (613-634-3722). Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (1111 Taylor-Kidd Blvd) on Wednesday, November 3 at 1 p.m. Private family service for Rite of Committal of Prayers to follow at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre or Hospice Kingston in Roxanne’s memory. For those desiring, on-line condolences may be directed to wartmanfuneralhomes.com.
