My Best Friend

Melba Wanda Fisher was many Things to many people. Her roles were endless as she was a mother, a granmother, A great grandmother, a friend, a wife and a smile that could lite anyones day.

Despite her many roles, her opinionated nature set her apart from the rest. She was firm in her beliefs and opinions but at the end of the day her devotion and careing nature brought into perspective the true menaing of Love. Melba Fisher went above and beyond for all those she held dear.

To me Melba was my Nana, She was my second mom and my best friend. I miss her countless phone calls and times we would just talk for hours. I miss the way her encouraging words would make you feel like you had the strenght of a hundred, and you could do anything!

Most of all I miss her determination and her will for family!

She was the true example of what it meant to not just "love" others for the sake of dynanics but love through thick and thin. She was the sorce of strenght and pillar of our family, keeping everyone together despite others independent desires. She was the true defintion of Love. Someone who may not have always liked you or had the best things to say, but at the end of the day if you were in her heart you were in her life and if you were in her life you were always sure to feel her nurturing nature.

As this Holiday season passes, I feel so alone. I have lost my best friend and I will always always remember you! You will always be remembered in your great grandsons life and your stories will always be told.

It is my hope that you watch over us all and forgive us for not sticking together the way you would have wanted! Selfishness, judgment, and lack of communication have all consumed us.... But Nana you are the one person who will always hold a better example for us all!

With all my Love from your Grand-daughter and within my heart, love from the daughter, who looked to you as another mother! Rest with the angels, great poppa and nana and please say hi to June! We love you!

With all our love and with an ache in our hearts of were you are physically missing, we say "till we meet again"!!. You are so loved!
