Condolence From: Judi & Mel MacLeod
Condolence: I just have been very saddened to hear that your Mom , Maggie to us all, has died. I had heard from her at Xmas telling us about her dreadful accident. She and I lived next door to each other in training at the Civic and we have remained friends all these years , sometimes not hearing from each other for awhile, but always catching up at reunions. Our deepest sympathy to you all, she will be greatly missed. Old friends Judi (MacMillan) and Mel, Victoria

Condolence From: Bruce MacLachlan
Condolence: I have many fond memories of Aunt Margie, from family dinners at George Street and the Farm to our trip to Jasper. Before we arrived at Jasper Park Lodge I thought it was just some everyday place, but after being there thinking what a great place her and Uncle Peter choose to take Mom and I. Aunt Margie was a very kind person with a love for horses and cats, she will be sadly missed.

Condolence: Margie MacLachlan was one of my very first friends. We would play at her place on Maclaren Street where King Gahoolie lived in the hedge with all his kingdom. One time I remember going in the house, where Mrs. MacLachlan was vacuuming. I asked her if she believed in King Gahoolie, and she simply smiled her lovely smile.

Another time, when I said I was going to marry Mike Baldwin, Margie said she was, not me, because she lived closer!

I was so excited that her older sister was having her wedding reception in the school cafeteria, I ran across the street to gawk as the couple appeared. Everyone was throwing confetti, and I didn't have any so I scooped some up from the pavement and threw it at them. Unfortunately, pebbles had mixed with the confetti, and the family had to tell me to stop.

When I was writing for the Kingston Whig-Standard, I did a feature on a teenage mother. Margie wrote a letter to the paper to thank another teen - the birth mother who made the opposite choice, and gave her baby up for adoption. Margie and her husband became that baby's adoptive parents. The paper printed her letter.

Now my first two childhood friends are deceased - Anne Todd and now Margie.
She was kind, and had a fine imagination.
My condolences to her family
