Condolences

Condolence From: Sandra Maracle(Aunt)
Condolence: My family was on holiday in Hamilton(1981); we took Jack to Crystal Beach with 4 of his cousins. He did not care who those boys were he just ran from ride to ride. He had a great time.
I have sincerely been looking for him over the years. No Facebook at that time. I requested my brother's records hoping I may find information to give me some direction to locate Jack. Told I had to wait 35 years from the date of my brothers passing. My pain does not have words. His family has my deepest sympathy. Love Sandra

Condolence From: Kayleigh and Tim Hogan
Condolence: You had a great sense of humour and lightened many situations the few times that we met while playing magic. Though my husband, Tim, has played Magic with you much longer than I have you were so kind to me. You helped me get the hang of it, explained things to me when I was at the very beginning of my newbie-ness and you were one of the only ones that didn't seem to be grumpy when you got paired with someone super green to the game those few times. Your kind spirit and outgoing nature is something that I will remember. Though we were barely acquaintances, our prayers and thoughts go to you and your family during this hard time. Thanks for making a hard time in my life a bit happier with your kindness during a new adventure.

May God grant peace to your family and hold them in his arms during this tragic, difficult time. And may they always know that you will be with them forever more.

Condolence From: Gord Burt
Condolence: He smoked too much, drank too much, quit playing Magic and was always in the process of selling all his cards so often I lost count and he always got me to buy him lunch... but more importantly he was a great guy who would give you the shirt off his back no questions asked.

One time I needed a boost as my old truck wouldn't start in the middle of winter after a hockey game or something and Jack, without hesitation, hoped in a car, drove down at 1:30 am and gave me a boost. He helped me when I owned Cosmic Comics more times than I could count... helped me lay carpet in my basement, helped himself to the cola in the store fridge that was for sale and always promised to pay me back but never did.

He probably still owed me money for cards or supplies or comics or gas or whatever... but he truly had a heart of gold. The world is quieter and less bright with him gone.

I'll miss his infectious smile.. that DARN smirk of his. His is big laugh that always came from the heart. His mannerisms... that guy could NOT sit still.

I'll miss him. He was a good friend. We didn't always see eye-to-eye. We didn't see each other that often. But he was always there when needed. With a kind word, a smile, an ear or the offer of a smoke (which he knew I'd refuse).

The world needs more Jack's (but with less sarcasm and smoking).

Condolences to his family and friends.
