Sgt Gerald Clement Ekstrom MMM, CD, (Ret) - Passed away suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital at the age of 85 on August 5, 2013. Survived by his wife Thelma; children Gordon (Faye) and Brenda Easton; grandchildren Hollie (Colin) Ashbee, Andrea (Paul) Weedmark, Rodney Easton, Jeff (Shawna) Easton, Cassandra Easton, Alexandra Ekstrom and Caitlyn Easton. Remembered by his great grandchildren Hailey Ashbee, Tyler Weedmark, Reese Ashbee, Mackenzie Weedmark, Benjamin Logan and Beckham Easton. Always remembered by his life long friends John and Gladys MacNeil. Gerald served 26 yrs in the Royal Canadian Regiment with John. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial gathering will take place at Lee Garden (494 Gardiners Rd) on Monday August 12 from 12 - 2 p.m. close friends and family welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements in care of Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel".
