Obituary for Gary Lawrence Clifford Smith

Smith, Gary Lawrence Clifford - Queens University Graduate Arts 1954; Retired Metropolitan Life Communications Director; Veteran of Community Theatre Ottawa & Kingston and Grey Jazz - at the Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday July 14, 2010 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Sharon Magee-Smith. Loving father of: Margot Joyce (David) Ottawa, Bradley (Charlotte) Merrickville, Andrea Rubino (Joe) Ottawa and Step Children: D'Arcy Magee (Shelley) Ottawa and Shannon Magee Ottawa. Sadly missed by his 14 Grandchildren. Survived by his brother Gale (Shirley) Kingston, and sister Dolores Hargreaves (Eric) Strathroy. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the WARTMAN FUNERAL HOME - Kingston Chapel (980 Collins Bay Road at Taylor Kidd Blvd., Kingston K7M 5H2 (613-634-3722) on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 10 - 11:30 a.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment at Morven Cemetery. Friends desiring may contribute by cheque to Limestone Learning Foundation Drama and Music program. A Celebration of Gary's life to follow in Ottawa at a later date.
