Ken passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Kingston General Hospital in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Wilson) for 46 years. Proud and loving father of Kenneth (Laurie) and Kelley (Dean Snider). Cherished grandfather of Franklin. Loved brother of Ronald (Beverly), Doris (Bill) Connell, Patsy (Don) Slate and Bruce (Beverly). Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Evelyn, infant son Michael Andrew and brothers Ken, Jerry and Russell. Dear brother in-law of Jayne (Michael) Demeester. Ken will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Road at Taylor Kidd) on Monday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. A retired O.P.P. Staff Sargent, Ken took great pride in his work and dedicated his life to serving others. If you so desire, donations made by cheque to the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
