Darling; Frederick Howard "Fred" - Retired after 37 years of teaching within Hastings Prince Edward and Limestone District School Boards. Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday March 24, 2011 in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Brennan-Hooper). Loving and proud father of Melanie Darling (Jason Godin), Krista Darling and Jennifer Simms (Craig) all of Kingston. Caring step father of Chris Hooper (Jessica La Tona) of Ajax and Colin Hooper (Michelle Malandrino) of Port Perry. Cherished Grampie of Carter, Kody, Caleb, Aleck, Bronwyn, Nolan, Darwin, Norah, and Abigail. Dear brother of Ron (Diane) of Thorold, Peter (Edwina) of Sydenham and Aleda Darling of Kingston. Fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the WARTMAN FUNERAL HOME "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Road at Taylor Kidd Blvd., Kingston K7M 5H2 (613-634-3722) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the Wartman Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation followed by interment at Holy Name Of Mary Catholic Cemetery, Marysville at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations by cheque to the Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children would be appreciated by the family.
