McEntegart; Esther Earl (nee Christie) - Passed away peacefully at Helen Henderson Care Centre on Monday May 7, 2012 in her 92nd year. Esther had spent many years volunteering and later living at Helen Henderson. She was well known for her kind heart, warm smile and her welcoming skills of new comers to the retirement home. She would soon find out the details of their lives and introduce them to all other residence living their. This is how she met her dear friend Jeanette Mullen and family. When Jeanette’s father went to live at Helen Henderson she became the newest member of their family. Jeanette and Esther spent many a Saturday’s having lunch at her favorite restaurants and doing a bit of shopping. Esther is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ann Christie, Sisters Edna Keys and Annie Wing. Her husband Thomas and daughter Carolyn Carlyle. She leaves behind a son Earl Presley (Mary) and his family in Nova Scotia, Nephews Harry and Robert also her nephew Roger and Wife Sharon from Brockville who attended her recent 90th birthday party at Helen Henderson. Esther wanted to thank those at Helen Henderson who were kind and caring and helped make her life happy and comfortable to the end. Esther said you would know who you are and she would always be grateful to you for that. Cremation has taken place and at her request there will be no funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations by cheque to Helen Henderson Care Centre would be appreciated.
