Faulkner; Barbara MacKay - Age 83, formerly of Massachusetts and Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully with family at her side at The Helen Henderson Care Centre on December 16, 2012. Barbara was born December 14, 1929 in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, to the late David and Marion (Fraser) Moore. Beloved wife of Robert who predeceased her in 2006. Loving mother of Edith (Arnold) Faulkner of Laconia, New Hampshire, Linda (Bruce) Giles of Brockville, Ontario, and Sheila (Mike) Aberman of Antrim, New Hampshire. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Giles of Kingston, Ontario. She is also survived by siblings Mary (Bill) Sawdon, Kelowna, B.C., Henry (Marie) Moore, Musquodoboit Harbour, N.S., Eleanor (Lorne) Frame, Truro, N.S., David (Judy) Moore, Shubenacadie, N.S., Margaret (Fred) Martini, Richmond Hill, ON., Anna Moore, Truro, N.S. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Clara and Frances. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of The Helen Henderson Care Centre for their loving care and compassion over the last four years. The family will receive friends at the WARTMAN FUNERAL HOME "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Rd at Taylor Kidd Blvd, 613-634-3722) on Thursday January 3, 2013 from 12 - 1 p.m. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow in Wartman Funeral Home Reception Centre. Barbara will be buried next to her late husband at East Noel Cemetery, Nova Scotia, in the summer of 2013. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
