Summers of 1993 & 1995

Bev, Brenda, Brian and Kevin,

I was so saddened today to hear of Wilson’s passing.  I had the honour and privilege of working with Wilson during the summers of 1993 & 1995 at the school board.  I was a summer student at the time. Those summers were made better just by spending time with Wilson, work never seemed like work with him.  Wilson made the job fun and I will always remember him for his sense of humor and kindness, not to mention his amazing woodworking skills. I will forever remember those two summers for the laughs, the one liners, the pranks that happened often, the endless popsicles that were bought on hot summer afternoons, the long drives to North Addington Education Centre where we would just chat with one another as if we had been friends forever.  Wilson and Bev came to my wedding 14 years ago, Wilson had made a lazy susan for my husband and I, now that lazy susan isn’t “just a wedding gift” it’s a treasure. I wish I had kept in touch with Wilson and Bev, but like so often happens we lost touch. Wilson had a great impact on my life and I will never forget him. Thinking of his entire family today, may your memories be your treasures.

Sincerely,

Shelley (Chalk) Walsh
