Condolences

Condolence From: Crystal
Condolence: Service Speech:

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Crystal, and I am Mary-Anne's Granddaughter. I want to thank you all for being here today on behalf of my family. Your attendance speaks volumes about the impact that this wonderful woman had on all of us.

It is difficult to put into words how much Grandma meant to our family, she touched so many hearts and created such genuine relationships with each one of us. Grandma loved life, she loved her family, she loved her husband, she loved her friends, she loves her pets, she loved nature and she loved adventure. No matter what situation she was presented with, no matter how challenging; she was able to overcome it.

Some of you knew her as Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, MA, or simply as Mary-Anne. To me, she was Grandma and to all of us, she was an amazing lady.
While I may be one of the oldest Grandchildren, there are 18 of us, and she brought us great pride. To highlight this, I reached out to my cousins and asked them a pretty simple and straightforward question:
"What are the 3 words that you would use to describe Grandma?"

Their responses, while simple, begin to paint a detailed portrait of the woman we all knew and loved.
-- Considerate, Loving, Selfless, Nurturing, Thoughtful, Generosity, Compassionate, Immeasurable Strength.

Grandma was unbelievably compassionate. Her heart and her generosity knew no bounds. Neighbors, friends, immediate family and relatives, all knew they had a place to stay for a few minutes, a few hours or a few days, to enjoy her hospitality and her generosity... the door was always open and the food was always plentiful.

Grandma donated much of her time to others. Canvassing for Heart & Stroke Cancer Society and Donating blood as often as she could. Grandma was always a phone call away for everyone, she was always there for guidance and support. She loved to give her time and her focus to others and was always willing to give just a little bit more. She truly was selfless.

Of all the things that I could share with you about Grandma, we should remember her heart, her generous and caring spirit. It is incredible what her smile and heart could do.

Papa, I want you to know how much I admire you. You were blessed to share 54 years with Grandma, creating this great big family. The values you have instilled in us, the guidance you have created for us, Thank you. We will continue Grandma's legacy, together, and through this heartache that we all share we will stick together.

I love you Grandma - You truly were a special, special woman. You were my best friend, my maid of honor. You may have passed on, but your memories will always live on within us. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you have done for me. Wherever you are, I know you are in a much better place. I will forever be grateful and thankful that you are my Grandmother.

Condolence: I had the greatest pleasure of working with Mary Anne for many years. She had such a strong work ethic and could work circles around the young ones. She was very dedicated to her work and always made safety, cleanliness, and kindness to others her priority. She always went by the book and followed all rules. She was truly an inspiration and I used to say to her "I want to be just like you when I grow up". She would always laugh that contagious, beautiful laugh of hers.
I was so sorry to hear of her passing. My heartfelt, sincere condolences to each and every one of her family...she loved her family so. She will be truly missed. L.H.

Condolence: We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mary Ann. She was loved by all. Trueman was reminiscing about seeing her with a power saw in her hand working alongside Cecil cutting down trees. She sure was not afraid of work. She was a great lady and will be missed by all her family and friends. What a beautiful picture of her with her big smile. Our prayers are with all of you.
