Remember

I grew up visiting my grandparents, Marie and Hugh Ramsay, who lived next door. I remember seeing the doctor when we had a sore throat or earache, they were always friendly and there whenever we needed them. Once, just after I had my first born, I dropped in to see my grandparents unannounced. They weren't home but I felt comfortable enought to knock on Alice's door to ask if I could change a diaper. She was hospitable, tracked down my grandparents at a friend's house, gave me tea and held the baby.

I always remember her as extremely classy, beautiful, strong and generous. She had a way of putting you at ease, and making you feel listened to. She had a wonderful smile and what appeared to be great self confidence and grace. When I was little, I thought she looked like a movie star.

Wishing her family the best, thinking of her.

Kelly Sexsmith (daughter number two of Bev and Doug Sexsmith).
