Condolences

Condolence From: Terry Burns
Condolence: Just came across this notice and wanted to express my condolences - I remember Mrs. Johnston fondly from Sault Ste. Marie. While my sympathy goes out to the whole family, I send along particularly warm thoughts to Doug, an old friend.

Condolence: Irvine, Karl, Doug, Elaine, Ann and Nora... I have only just learned of Mrs. Johnston's passing. Although it is now several decades since we were all in Sault Ste. Marie, I remember Gladys with much fondness, as well as all the family. My deepest sympathies to you all.

Condolence From: Joe and Susan Ramsay
Condolence: To all the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Neither Susan nor I will be able to attend the service because of work commitments, but we will be there in spirit. Our lives have touched at various times over the years: when you were at Trinity, Doug and I became friends and I recall being at your dinner table as a young boy; then when Irv was at Cookes-Portsmouth in Kingston, I spent my theology field placement there, and learned much from both Irv and Gladys that has served me throughout the years; when we moved to Napanee we became neighbours, and Gladys helped us immensely by caring for our three young children on several occasions.

Gladys - you are a wonderful example of kindness and faith. We will miss your presence with us knowing that the life that was in you is eternal.

Condolence: We were very saddened to hear of the death of Gladys. She was a wonderful friend to our family. During her years in Sault Ste Marie Gladys was a devoted supporter of St. Andrew's United Church and a loving friend of many in the congregation. She will be greatly missed.

Condolence: You wouldn't remember me and would probably remember my Mom and my Grandmother. My grandmother was Ruby Browne and my Mom was Ruby Wolsey. I am so very sorry for the loss of Gladys. She was a great lady and very well liked. Irvine and Gladys were a wonderful couple.
