Splinter; Derrick Gerald - (Sept. 10, 1970 - Nov. 9, 2018)
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Derrick Gerald on Nov. 9, 2018 at the Kingston General Hospital. He is survived by his children; Kyle, Deanna, and Skylar and their mother Tania. Loving son of Dick and Norma Splinter of Sydenham. He will be missed by his sister Anita (Richard) vanZevenbergen, his brothers; Paul and Jason (Crystal), niece Tessa, nephews; Coen, Daniel, Ryker, and Tager. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his grandparents ; Dick and Petronella Splinter, Norman and Doris Purvis and aunt Katharine Splinter. Thank you to the doctors and nurses that helped until the end. In keeping with the wishes of the family, aquamation is in the care of Wartman Funeral Home. A Celebration of Derrick's Life will be held at the Wartman Funeral Home - Kingston Chapel on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1 pm with a reception to follow.
