Condolence: Dear Diane, Jason and Abby,

I am so sorry to hear about the devastating loss of Darren. I taught Jason in nursery school and he would talk about his Dad and how they went fishing together. Jason was 2 at the time and had a hard time saying the word fish and would call them “hearse”. Maybe he was trying to say perch. I thought I would share that lovely memory of Jason and his Dad.

My sincere condolences for the loss. I was very saddened to hear about the sudden loss of one of childhood friends. I have a lot of childhood memories of playing tag, hide-n-seek and road hockey with Darren.

My sincere condolences to all the Smith and Paddle family members.As a former Rideaucrest Home volunteer, I have warm memories and respect in recalling Darren's parents. John Smith was the Administrator of Rideaucrest Home when I volunteered there. Again, I am so sorry for your loss of a much loved son, husband and father.

Condolence: Smith Family. I worked with Darren for 16 years at the City of Kingston. I knew him very well as we both worked in the same department. I was in tears when I was informed of his passing. If everyone was like Darren the world would be a much better place. Losing Darren is such a great loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
