Condolences

Condolence From: Eleanor Flanagan Lott
Condolence: My condolences to you Mark, Miles & Brady and your families.
I wasn't able to get to the funeral home in time for the viewing and had to leave before funeral was over, so didn't get the chance to speak to you.
Miles & Brady you were too young to remember but I'm sure Mark you will remember when you lived north of the village of Erinsville. You were probably 10 or 11. Miles & Brady were toddlers.
I babysat for your parents when needed. If I remember correctly I didn't see too much of you Mark as you were always out on your bike.
Debbie wasn't old enough to be left alone to babysit but she was at the house whenever I was there and helped with the boys.
After you moved I heard about the tragic death of your dad and Debbie I was heartbroken too ...
The little time that I knew your family, I could see love ..your parents with each other and with you kids.
Over the years I thought about all of you and said a prayer that all was well with you, never knowing that you were still in the area. I can't believe over time that I hadn't run into any of you.
Your mom did a great job of keeping that family love alive.
Her funeral was a great tribute to her.
May all those good memories keep her alive forever in your hearts.
God Bless

Condolence From: Margaret Paul
Condolence: Mrs. Johnston will be missed by me and my family.
My name is Margaret, I have known Mrs. Johnston for 39 years...seems strange to say that. I met Mrs. Johnston at a time when we both filled a need for each other, a mother for me and a daughter for her. I was 15, I had lost my mother 2 years earlier, and she accepted me into her family, we maintained that relationship and I will continue to feel that way for her…forever.
We did not always see eye to eye…there were battles over religious beliefs, times of hardship and times of laughter. I admired Mrs. Johnston for her strength, her resilience and her perseverance.
She held steadfast to her beliefs, God was always the centre of her life. She raised her sons the best way she knew how and loved them regardless of what may have come along. She withstood loneliness, heartbreak and ill health, yet still kept steadfast in the knowledge that there was a reason for these things to happen.
Some of my fondest memories of Mrs. Johnston include her love for her gardens and her pets. Her cherished dog, Lady; the ever present feline, Nifty; and up to the end her companion, Scampy.
I can’t be there to give my condolences to Mark, Myles and Brady but know my thoughts are with you and your families at this sad time.
