Obituary for Theresa "Tina" Leyenhorst (Haaima)
Leyenhorst (Haaima) Theresa-Tina; Peacefully with family present at home on Friday, June 10th, in her 84th year. She is now with her Lord and reunited with her husband Peter (2020). Loving, devoted mother of Ed, Ron (Hope), Sandra (Dan), Sharon McFarlane (Ian). Loving Oma to Meredith (Kenji), Eliot, Corinna (Domenic), Tim, Kevin, Phil, Genevieve, Jared, Ella, Ty and Cade. Special Oma to Xander, Sebi, Abby, Rozlyn, Jordana, Lesley.
Predeceased by her brother Oene Dykstra. Fondly remembered by her sister in-law Frances and her children Patricia and Darren. Loving sister to Ali Weisenberg (Dwight), her brothers Korrie (Carol), Henry (late Belle), and Rob (MaryAnn). Lovingly remembered by Grace Dykstra (late Anton). Her brother in-law Ap Leyenhorst (Janny), sister in-law Grace Leyenhorst, sister-in-law Riek Fekkes, brother-in-law Gert Zeggelaar and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home, Kingston Chapel on Thursday June 16, 2022 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm and 1 hour prior to the service. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday June 17, 2022 at 11:00 am. Reception fo follow service. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery at 2:00 pm. All welcome. Those desiring may contribute to the Alzheimer's Society or Focus On The Family Canada.
Special thanks and appreciation to her son Ed for all the hours of sitting with mom in the evenings listening to music, and to her sister Ali for the daily phone calls to lift her spirits and for her weekly visits Thursday evenings over the past years.
A heart filled with thanks to a very special team of PSW caregivers/friends who have cared for mom over the many years - Dina, Kenia, Lori, Jackie, Sharon and Joan. Thank you for having made mom's days brighter and happier and allowed her to remain home as she desired.
