Obituary for Rosemary McCormick (McCormick)
MCCORMICK, Rosemary Teresa
July 8, 1938- October 3, 2020
“Growing old is not for the faint of heart”, Rose would often say. And faint of heart she was not. Rose lived a life that was at time fraught with adversity but not without good moments as well. She dealt with it all in her own way and with great wit. Sadly, Rose lost her final battle against an aggressive and unstoppable adversary, cancer, after a brief but in some ways a seemingly too long a struggle. Rose slipped away from us at Kingston General Hospital in the wee hours of Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 with her daughter Janice (Clapp, née Young) by her side. No, not faint of heart by any means.
Janice and her family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff on KGH Connell 9 for their support and compassion they gave her mom. Also, to all the friends and family who have remained constant with calls, texts, messages, cards and flowers.... it really has meant so much.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kingston Humane Society in Rose's memory would be appreciated.
