Obituary for Raymond Eugene Scott

SCOTT, RAYMOND
After a short struggle with cancer, Ray passed away May 30, 2022 at Kingston General Hospital in his 84th year. Predeceased by his parents, Marion & Robert Scott, brother Don, and first wife Judy.
Ray is survived by his wife Darlene Dalton, daughter Laurel Wilson (David), Kingston, son Bill Scott (Karla), Victoria, brother Bob Scott (Karen), Vancouver, sister Joan Housh, Cornwall, grandsons Tyler Wilson, Caelan, and Coban Scott, and extended family members.
Ray will also be greatly missed by his step-daughter and son, CJ & Mark Dalton, and his step-grandchildren Conner, Kali, Abigail, & Everet Dalton.

Ray is well known as a skilled sculptor having created beautiful unique wood sculptures for many years at his Pine Spirit Studio in Westport, ON. His gentle artistry reflected his endearing love of nature and Canadian rural life.
Ray’s deep concern about climate change and it’s effect on our future and need for sustainable living was ever evident to all who knew him.

Although never easy to say goodbye, we who walked with and loved Ray until the end, will forever cherish his love, humour, and caring nature. Arrangements entrusted in Wartman Funeral Home, Kingston. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in Ray Scott’s name may be sent to The Pembina Institute Canada or the David Suzuki Foundation.
