Obituary for Luc Emile Richard
Luc Richard (October 8, 1951-August 17, 2021)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Luc Émile Richard, born in Matheson , Ontario. Predeceased by his parents Philibert and Marie-Anne Richard. He leaves behind his beloved wife Chantal, and was the proud father to Donny (Jaci) and Annie (Amy). Loving Papa to Aiden (Sam), Jack, Bella and Mya. Brother to Solange Desjardins (Fernand), Claudette Boisclair (Denis), Aurèle Richard (Charlene), Yvon Richard (Ghyslaine), Gisele Gagnon (Jean-Paul), and Michel Richard (Suzanne). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Luc was a quiet man who was devoted to his family and loved them deeply. Through his work he was able to travel and live in various parts of the world and was a highly respected boss and co-worker. He learned languages quickly, being fully tri-lingual and was in the process of learning a fourth language. In his retirement he enjoyed travelling to Florida with his wife in the winters where he discovered a love of woodworking. He always had a project on the go and was very creative and meticulous in the work he did. Luc also enjoyed fishing, taking his family out for a spin on his new Harley-Davidson and visiting family in the north. Nothing made him happier than having his family around him and he will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held at Wartman Funeral Home Kingston on Thursday, August 26 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm (No RSVP required). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 27 at 11:30 am in the chapel at Wartman Funeral Home with reception to follow. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée Chantal et était le fier père de Donny (Jaci) et Annie (Amy). Papa aimant à Aiden (Sam), Jack, Bella et Mya. Oncle de plusieurs nièces et neveux.
Luc était un homme calme qui était dévoué à sa famille et les aimait profondément. Grâce à son travail, il a pu voyager et vivre dans diverses parties du monde et était un patron et un collègue très respecté. Il a appris les langues rapidement, étant parfaitement trilingue et était en train d'apprendre une quatrième langue. À sa retraite, il aimait voyager en Floride avec sa femme pendant les hivers, où il s'est découvert une passion pour le travail du bois. Il avait toujours un projet en cours et était très créatif et méticuleux dans le travail qu'il faisait. Luc aimait aussi pêcher, emmener sa famille faire un tour sur sa nouvelle Harley-Davidson et rendre visite à sa famille dans le nord. Rien ne l'a rendu plus heureux que d'avoir sa famille autour de lui et il manquera certainement à plusieurs.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Wartman Kingston à partir de 14h00 à 16h00 et de 19h00 à 21h00 jeudi le 26 août (Aucune RSVP requise). Les funérailles seront en la chapelle à Wartman à 11h30 vendredi le 27 août, suivit par une réception.
