John George Downs went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Kingston Health Services Centre, in his 88th year.
Beloved and cherished husband of Carolyn (Emmerson), loving father of David (Lisa), Darlene Millar (Ken), Darrell (Kathy), Robert (Mary Ruth), Angela Chapman ( Dave), Dayna Harrett (Mike), and Kathryn. Caring and adored grandfather of 22, and great-grandfather of 8. Predeceased by his wife Alice (Andres).
John’s unwavering faith was the foundation for his life’s work, as a pastor, counsellor, and father.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Bath Road Baptist Church, 193 Bath Road, Kingston, on Saturday April 16, 2022 at 1:30 pm. A reception will follow at the church.
