It is with sad hearts that Jack's family announce his peaceful passing on the night of September 26, 2020. He leaves behind his wife and best friend Norma Bolton Adams. He was the loved and loving Dad to his children, Ted (Summerland,B.C.) , Steve (Port Coquitlam, B.C.), Laurel Bennett ( Michael) of Kingston, O.N., "Grampa" to his 8 grandchildren , and 3 great grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his brother Ron Cutbill ( Sharon) of Kanata, O.N., his sisters -in- law Melda Campbell ( late Len) and Phyllis Hepton ( late Everett ).
Jack was predeceased in 1973 by his dear wife and the mother of his children, Olive MacNeil, his sister Helen O'Connell ( late Brian), his brothers- in- law Roly MacNeil (late Gwen), and Everett Bolton ( late Patsy).
Jack will fondly be remembered by his nieces and nephews, his hunting and fishing buddies, his many friends and former colleagues, as well as the many people with whom he served and helped during his 38 years of service. He was awarded the Exemplary Service Medal with Bars by the ministry upon his retirement.
One of Jack's early happy memories was working with Judge McKnight for Christie Lake Kids, a camp for underprivileged kids founded by Judge McKinley of the Juvenile Court in Ottawa.
Cremation has taken place and a gathering in Jack's honor will take place at a later date. In memory of Jack, donations can be made to Christie Lake Kids, 400 Coventry Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K7K 2C7 or the charity of your choice.
