Surrounded by her girls (and Betty!), while holding Jack’s hand, Jo-Ann passed on, in true Eady sleep-in style, in the late morning of Sunday, May 24th , 2015, in her 63rd year. Jo-Ann’s vibrant personality and love of life will continue to inspire her husband of 33 years, Jack Eady, as well as her daughters; Jenna and husband Matthew Irvine, and Andrea and Chantal and partner Jay. Loving daughter to Jay & Marjorie Lockerbie, and caring sister to Brett & his wife Laurie Lockerbie, Jo-Ann consistently put others before herself, while maintaining her positive outlook and eternal strength, even throughout her encounter with colon cancer. After 35 years, teaching French and as a guidance counsellor, across 3 different school boards, there is no doubt Jo-Ann has changed many lives throughout her own. If you have been fortunate enough to have crossed paths with Jo-Ann, please come share your memories with us at Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Rd, Kingston, ON), Kingston, on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Jo’s life will be held Thursday evening. Contact family for details. Donations to “Almost Home”, a local charity which Jo-Ann supported, will be greatly appreciated by the family.
