Obituary for Jean Elizabeth Elliott (West)

ELLIOTT: Jean Elizabeth (West) O.N.
Peacefully passed away on April 14, 2022, 94 years old at the John M Parrott Centre. Beloved wife of the late James Elliott. Dear mother of Carolyn Elliott-Norrie (husband Bob) and David Elliott (wife Cindy), and grandmother of James. Predeceased by infant daughter Mary and sisters Laura Dodson and Barbara Francis. Mom was a member of St. James Anglican Church Hamilton and founding member of St Michael's Anglican Church of Hamilton. She moved to Napanee to be with family and became a member of St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church of Napanee. She was invested into the Order of Niagara in 2014 for her long service to God. Former education assistant with the Hamilton Board of Education where her love of children flourished.

Mom was a proud member of the Hamilton Police Retirees Widows Association.

She continued to embrace her inner child by dressing for each occasion and season, displaying her love of life while holding court with her many friends at various Tim Hortons in both Hamilton and Napanee. A lifelong fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats and the Toronto Blue Jays.

The family cannot give enough thanks for the incredible care shown by the South East LIHN, Lennox and Addington County General Hospital and the John M Parrott Centre Napanee.

A private family interment service to be held at St Georges Cemetery Hamilton with a family service to be held later at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Napanee.

As per her wishes donations can be made to either St Michael's Anglican Church, Hamilton or St Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, Napanee.
