Obituary for Jim Wood
James (Jim) Donald Wood (1927-2020)
In his 93rd year, Jim passed peacefully at Arbour Heights Long Term Care Home in Kingston, Ontario on May 4, 2020. Loving husband to Eileen Dupuis Wood and the late Minnie Waddell. Sadly missed and remembered by both of Eileen and Minnie’s families. Son of Ethel May Webb and Charles Edward Wood. Brother to Violet May, Carman, Mabel and William. Jim was a true gentleman and always put the needs of others before his. He felt tremendous pride in his work at Sawyer Stoll in Kaladar and Hurley’s Crane in Napanee. Even into his 90’s, he wished that he could go to work each day and reminisced about his working days. Special thanks to the staff at Arbour Heights and Wartman Funeral Home for their special care and all of those who were friends and caregivers over the years. As Jim wished, he will rest in the United Church Cemetery in Tamworth, Ontario. Donations to the Kingston or Napanee Humane Societies in his memory. “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear”. Rest in peace dear Jim, you have gone home.
