McInnis, James Donald Roderick (Don) of Bath, Ontario passed away peacefully August 26, 2021 at the grand ol’ age of 82 at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, Ontario. His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Don came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Don was the beloved and very loved husband of Carol Anne (Caly) McInnis, loving father of Shaunna Marie and Tracey Dawn (Mike Ferguson), and a fun and loving grandfather of Owen and Mason, brother of Shirley Secor of Mississauga, Ontario and Jean Bruneau (late Angus) of St. John’s, Newfoundland/Labrador. Funeral Service will be held at the Wartman Funeral Home, 980 Collins Bay, Kingston, Ontario on Tuesday August 31st at 2 p.m. with visitation starting at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (UHKF). Special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff in the Oncology dept. at KGH, and to the caring and wonderful staff at Providence Care Hospital that made his transition so peaceful.
