Jim of Napanee and formerly of Point Anne passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Lennox And Addington County General Hospital in his 82nd year. Loved husband and best friend of Paula Unita (Akey) Horwood. Predeceased by his parents William and Nellie (Blewett) Horwood and brothers Thorold, Laurence, Leonard, Graham and Robert. Survived by his brother Jack of Belleville and sister-in-law Linda Kimmett (Maurice) of Napanee. Dear father of Susanne Varrette (Ed) of Yarker, Alan Horwood (Sabrina Hutchison) of Thornhill, Tracey White (Terry) of Kingston and Stephen Horwood (Scott McCambly) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Ryan Horwood, Emily McDonald (Jackie Smith), Corie Horwood (Jamie Callendar), Bethany Karremans (Colin), Ryan White and David White (Jenna Poore). Fun loving great grandfather of Olivia, Addison, Kahlo and Kate. Jim will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wartman Funeral Home "Napanee Chapel" on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 6- 8 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 137 Robinson Street, Napanee on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment Belleville Cemetery.
