Beloved wife of Wayne Tompkins and dearly loved mother of Philip (Julie) of Kingston, Heather Quance (Michael) of Kingston and Kathryn Tompkins (Bryan) of Thornbury. Adored Gran of “the boys”, Trevor and Nicholas, Tyler and Graham, and Theo. Much loved sister of Milree (Jerry Bass) and sister-in-law of Gerald and Joan Tompkins and the late Douglas Latimer. Aunt of Deborah Caron (Michel) and David. Daughter of the late Campbell and Hazel Wilson, Milton, and daughter-in-law of the late Ken and Bertha Tompkins, Newburgh. Isabelle was a retired public health nurse, a longtime member of Edith Rankin Memorial United Church and a tireless community volunteer. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. We will miss her dearly. A Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Martin, Dr. Harle, the wonderful nursing staff at the Cancer Clinic, and her Helen Henderson family. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Rd) on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m. and on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Reception to follow Service. Interment at Newburgh Cemetery. In memory of Isabelle, memorial donations to the Parkinson Society or the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
