Johnston, Rev. Irvine
Passed away on February 11, 2023 with family members by his side at the age of 98. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gladys (2014). He will be missed by his children Karl (late Adele) of Orillia, Douglas of Napanee, Elaine (Freeman Churchill) of Halifax, Ann (David Wolfe) of North Bay, Nora (Francene Starko) of Edmonton, his grandchildren Krysta, Julia, Alli, Emily, Nathan, Sam, Maggie, Jane and Kate and his seven great- grandchildren with twins on the way.
He devoted his entire life to the United Church of Canada. His first charge was Inverness, followed by Ormstown, and Shawville, Quebec then Trinity United Church in Napanee, St. Andrews in Sault Ste. Marie, and Cookes- Portsmouth in Kingston before retiring back to Napanee.
Family will receive friends from 10 am - 12 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Wartman Funeral Home - Napanee. A celebration of life service will follow in the Chapel at 12 pm. Reception will follow the service in the Wartman reception centre. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery.
