God Bless Ilona (Lili) Cseh, loving wife to Laszlo and mother to 3 boys, Les, Peter, and Zsolt. She was also a loving in-law to Les’ wife Dianne and Peter’s wife Jen.
Lili was an incredible inspiration to so many people. Her faith was unwavering. She set such an incredible example her whole life that words are not enough to truly express it.
Her life was not easy, living in Hungary during incredibly tough and repressive times. Her and Laszlo’s escape from communism would have made a truly epic movie. Not to mention the trip to Canada and how they survived and thrived without owning anything or knowing the language.
The memories are countless. She has so much love in her and an incredible sense of humour. To this day we still laugh about the fakanál (wooden spoon). She was extremely generous and would always help those in need.
As her sons, she set such a great example for us that we all turned out to be the loving people that people always comment about.
She kept friendships alive for more years than we even know. She was always by her husband’s side.
She was an incredible cook and loved to feed everyone ! And she taught all her family how to cook her incredible dishes, which is something we will always cherish.
I cannot imagine a better example of what Jesus would have wanted any of us to be. Loving, kind and sharing.
Even in her final days with a crippling illness, we were absolutely amazed at how she kept her humour and spirit.
We know that you are with Jesus as you always wanted and are teaching him the best way to make gulyas and beigli.
Mom, we miss you terribly but are relieved that you are out of your suffering.
We love you so much.
