O'Connor; Hazel Marguerite (nee Raycraft) - Passed away surrounded by her loving family at Village Green Nursing Home, Selby on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband Howard O'Connor. Loving and proud mother of Maureen O'Connor-McCourt (George) of Montreal, Heather Davey (Douglas) of Kingston and Wayne O'Connor (Jackie) of Selby. Cherished grandmother to Sibeal, Liam, Dana, Macy and John. Survived by siblings Bill Raycraft and Sylvia Lovelock and sister-in-law Marion Buttle. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Laverne and Carmen O'Connor. Hazel will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was a lifetime member of Grace United Church and was a member of the United Church Women. She will be missed by her church family. Hazel was the first president of the Lenadco auxiliary in Napanee, and spent many years volunteering her time to the elderly there. She was an avid gardener and reader, and loved to travel (with her husband, as well as with her girlfriends). The family will receive friends at Wartman Funeral Home - Napanee Chapel on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Funeral Service at Grace United Church on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 11:00 am. Interment Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque to Deseronto-Napanee Pastoral Charge (Grace United Church) or the charity of your choice will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
