Gordon Warren Hovencamp (1944 - 2021)

Passed peacefully away on April 21, 2021 in his home (Amherstview, Ontario) at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of Susan Hovencamp (nee Cook). Loving father of Rick (Susan), Warren
(Gina) and Nadia (Ryan). Proud grandfather of Nicholas, Katie, Britney, Brandon, Hayden,
Chase, Ruby & Sophia. Proud great grandfather of Dolly Marie. Predeceased by his first wife
Pearl and his brother Leon. Survived by his sisters Patsi and Margie. Gordon will be missed by his extended family and friends.
A Newfoundlander first; Gordon was born in St. John’s to Gordon & Mary (Goodall) Hovencamp
(both deceased). Gordon took great pride in his family - he provided with abundance for his loved ones and was happy to do so. He had an unwavering work ethic and was proud to work for others and later for himself as owner of Eagle Eye Security. When not at work or home, Gordon treasured his time sitting by a pond with a fishing rod by his side. He enjoyed talking with neighbours and strangers alike and could often be found at Tim Horton’s having a chat while enjoying a “double double”.

In his later years in Ontario, Gordon was a valued member of the Amherstview Lions club.
