I am Joyce Smith, the co ordinator of the exercise with arthritis class members. We all would like to express our sincere condolences to the family. Gisela was a kind and loving soul.
Everyone loved and will cherish the pot holders she made for them. We are also grateful for the donations being directed to the seniors centre. All of us have had so much fun there over the years.

Our deepest sympathies to Michael, Andy, Karen, Lisbeth and family on the passing of your mum. I will always remember how welcoming she made me ( Andrew) feel whenever I was at your house. Whether it was waiting for the bus in the morning or doing homework after school, I always felt like I had a second home. She also taught me to be adventurous with eating. I would sometimes have dinner with your family and I was always surprised with the variety of different foods you ate. My family has always been more simple and predictable with meals, but your dinners were always an adventure. I remember your mum telling me " Just try it. You don't know if you like it if you don't try it." Thanks to your mum, I am willing to try new foods now. While I am still not too adventurous with food, I am now more willing to try and I owe that to her. I have also tried to apply this principle to other areas of my life as well and have passed on this sprit of willingness to be adventurous to my girls. For this and many other things, I will always be grateful to her. I will always remember your mum and her memory will always stay with me and my family.
Once again our deepest sympathies to you and all of your families.
Andrew, Tien, Natalie and Madison Mikoleit
