Obituary for Gertrude Marguerite Bailey (Clancy)

Bailey; "Trudy" Gertrude Marguerite (nee Clancy) - 1940 - 2019

On a clear day, you can see forever.

Trudy was amazingly gentle, kind, caring and very understanding to all who knew her. Teaching school was her profession in her younger years. She had many talents including playing guitar and singing in a band at NDSS. Trudy survived many a turbulent time, especially during her marriage as her schizophrenic illness was often misunderstood. Later, country and western classic music and listening to songs were her favourite pass times that was inspired by Kingston 93.5 Jeff Code request show on Sunday mornings. Her artwork, mostly of Arizona scenes brought her great joy. She found contentment through medication monitoring during her final years. She passed suddenly but peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the age of 79 at Extendicare Kingston. Sadly missed but always dearly loved sister to Helen Craig of Tamworth, Janet Loyst of Napanee, Earl Clancy (Lorraine) of Amherstview and Ron Clancy (Kathy) of Napanee. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Dedicated friend through the years to Joyce Smith of Belleville. Sincere thanks to Mental Health Services and Extendicare Staff North Wing for their excellent concern and care for Trudy. On-line condolences at www.wartmanfuneralhomes.com.
