Obituary for Marjorie Crawford
Crawford; Elsie "Marjorie" - Longtime employee of the Frontenac/ Limestone School Board. Peacefully, at the Fairmount Nursing Home in Glenburnie on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the age of 88. Lovingly remembered by her children Kelly Bowering (Bill Balfour) of Harrowsmith, Chris Bowering of the Shire, and David ‘Bonz’ Bowering of Kingston. Beloved grandmother to Lindsay Fawcett, Alex McLean (Liz), Graeme McLean, and Abigale Balfour. Survived by her siblings Mavis Leadbeater (late Gordon), and Jill Wilkinson (Glen). Predeceased by her sister Elinor Christie (Don). Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends.
There are so many things that could be said, and so many stories that could be told, but there’s only space here for a small taste. As an appetizer, would you like to hear about her Dad’s garage and driving a tow truck? Perhaps you would prefer a bite of her BBQ spareribs, pie crusts, and even exploding birthday cakes. Or maybe you would savour an excursion to Sarasota by boat, with a side dish in Cuba. For the main course we could stuff you with stories from the golf course, some of them even true. And for dessert, we could top it all off with the love, support, and friendship we will all miss.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
