Speed; Edna May (nee Shelley) - Passed away peacefully at the The John M. Parrott Centre with her family by her side on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the age of 100. Devoted mother of Betty Thompson (Doug) of Napanee and the late John Speed (Ruth of Napanee). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Shelley Clapp (Dave), Dana Thompson-Green (Paul), Angela Thompson, Laurie Speed-Stoneburgh (John) and Philip Speed (Joanna) as well as her great grandchildren Kyle, Josh, Darby, Spencer, Adam, Jessica, Alicia, and Michael. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Edna is predeceased by her husband Philip, siblings Elsie Gulis, Stanley Shelley, Annie Lloyd and Don Shelley (Mabel of Napanee), as well as her parents James and Elsie Shelley. The family would like to thank all of Edna's caregivers from the Parrott Centre for the exceptional care that has been given to her over the last 6 years. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home - Napanee Chapel on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 10-11 am. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 am.
