It is with great sadness that we share with family and friends the news that Doug (DJ) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, July 25, 2021, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He was 69 years old. Doug was the proud father of his two cherished daughters, Taber and Quinn, dear friend and ex-husband of Louise, loving partner and best friend of Jo-Ann Black and a much loved inspiration to Jordyn and Jay Black. Predeceased by parents Don and Mavis, cherished twin brother Donny and dear sister Wendy. Doug is also survived by his proud brother Stuart (Dianna) and loving sister Christie McIntyre Thompson (Brad). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and all of his friends and colleagues, including his dear friends from Kingston and Camp Borden (BBCI), The CFL, University of Ottawa 1881 Football Alumni Association, Falconer Pictures and Falconer Music. A Memorial service will be held at the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees Field Stadium, 200 Lees Ave., Ottawa, ON, on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 3 to 6 pm.
