Lochhead; Doris "Winona" - Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her cherished husband Herbert Lochhead. Loving mother to Dave Lochhead (Tammy) of Calgary and Sheila Napier (Robert) of Kingston. Adored grandmother to Mike (Melanie), David (Katlyn), Chris, Josh, Sienna, Sarah and Rachel; and great-grandmother to Owen, Wyatt, Grace, Fletcher, Jack and Eric. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Thelma McConnell (nee Wilson) and siblings Lavona Breault, Helen Hawley, Shirley McConnell and Kim Brown. After moving to Kingston, Winona loved being a "city girl" and living close to her family. She enjoyed life to the fullest loving dancing, playing bingo & euchre with her friends Marg and Dona from Napanee and with her friend Roger at Trillium in Kingston. Although during her last year it became more difficult, she was determined to keep up doing what she could and loved getting together with family and seeing her Grandsons & Great Grandchildren. She is wearing her favourite dancing shoes as she prepares for her journey home to be with her husband and sisters, who she has missed so very much. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home - Napanee Chapel on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 10:00am - 11:00am. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the Chapel at 11:00am. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
