Obituary for Ann Christina Froats (Ferguson)

Froats; Ann Christina (nee Ferguson) -
Born in Gananoque on December 23, 1930, died peacefully on August 18, 2021 at Kingston General Hospital. Ann is survived by Angus, her loving husband of 69 years and best friend, her adoring daughters Sharon Price (Paul), Carol Abbott (Doug), Kim Roberts (Steve) and Pauline Woodcock. Ann also leaves behind grandchildren, Dale Price, Tara Rafeiro, Jennifer Roberts (Alex), Jessica Johnston (Jake), Stephen Abbott, Richard and Ronald Woodcock. Fondly remembered by step-grandchildren Leah (Price) Dowdell, Scott Price and their respective families along with great grandchildren, Taylor and Kaylee Novak, Jake Price, Charlotte Kellar, Henry Johnston, and several nieces and nephews.

Ann is also survived by her sister Mildred Deano of Kingston, her brother Robert Ferguson (Valerie) of Gananoque, brother-in-law, Keith Froats, (Marion) of Kingston and an aunt, Ruth McKay. Pre-deceased by an infant son Angus, parents John (Scotty) and Elsie (McIntyre) Ferguson, brothers James and Jackie Ferguson, grandson Sean Abbott, brother-in-law Harold Deano, sister-in-law Sandra Ferguson. Ann was a perfectionist in hosting many events over the years for both family and friends and was known for her competitive nature. A tireless worker, she volunteered at many events most notably as a member of the Kingston Lawn Bowling Association. She also was a longstanding member of over 50 years with the General Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star Leeds Chapter 255. Ann will be greatly missed by her neighbours and friends in Ridgewood Estates Subdivision. The family express their sincere gratitude for the care Ann received from the many professionals in charge of her health care over the years.

The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home - Kingston on Monday, August 23 from 11am -1 pm (No RSVP required). Funeral Services will follow in the chapel at 1pm.
