It is with deep sadness that Maddy announces that her much loved poppy and playmate has gone to Heaven to become her Guardian Angel. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Hegadorn) for over sixty two years. Proud and loving father of Michael and his wife Carol; Melinda and her husband Brian MacCrimmon and David and his wife Kirsty. Loving Poppy to his cherished and adored granddaughter Madison (Maddy) (a precious gift) and loving grandfather to Michael, Devin and Justin. Survived by sister Jean Yarrow of Cobourg and many nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by his father Pearley R. Parks, his mother Margaret Parks; his father and mother-in-law Clarence and Lillian Hegadorn; brothers Thomas, Russell and Wayne and sister Helen. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Wartman Funeral Home "Kingston Chapel" (980 Collins Bay Road at Taylor Kidd Blvd, Kingston) on Wednesday May 4, 2016 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Officiated by Rev. Bramwell Pearce. Reception to follow in the Reception Centre. A private family graveside service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations by cheque may be made to the Providence Care, St. Mary's of the Lake Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
