Dyne, Sheila Margaret (nee Finlayson) - Passed away peacefully at Fairmount Nursing Home, Glenburnie on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the age of 92. Cherished mother of Kate Dyne (Lee Hanes) of Kingston. Beloved surrogate mother of Sally Beaumont (Basile). Devoted Yaya to Emma, Harry (Noémie) and Peggy. Sheila will be sadly missed by her niece and nephews Margaret, Ian (Lorraine) and Bruce Finlayson as well as the Hanes, the Humphreys and the Sunday Night Supper Club. Sheila is predeceased by her husband Peter Dyne, son Christopher Dyne and her brother Ken Finlayson (late Anne). She was known by her infectious laugh, love of art, music and theatre. Sheila enjoyed sailing, reading and was involved in all aspects of amateur theatre. She spent countless hours volunteering at several small town and medical libraries. Sheila was always eager to assist medical students in their learning and in that spirit has bequeathed her body to Queen’s University. Visitation will be held at the Wartman Funeral Home - Kingston Chapel on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 1-2 pm. Funeral service will begin in the Chapel at 2 pm followed by a reception at the funeral home.
