Powell, Lawrence Martin - Passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital on Monday, September 3, 2018 in his 79th year. Larry will be deeply missed by his wife Judy Petersen of 42 years. Loving father of Sandy Powell (Mark Birksted) and adopted son the late Cheyenne Hughes. He will be sadly missed by his brother Fred, his nephews Ward, Craig and Trevor, his cousins Lynn (Bob), Gary (Sue), James and Murray (Val) along with all their families and his sister-in-law Sonja and nephew Dale. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Myrna Powell and sister Patty Hughes (late Karl). Larry will always be remembered by his family and many friends as a great story teller and was often referred to as “The Radio”. Larry enjoyed life, and was well known for his adventurous spirit and many diverse talents along with being a very willing and capable guy especially when you needed a hand. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Napanee Golf and Country Club on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with tributes bestowed around 5:15 p.m. Aquamation has already taken place. A special thanks from Larry’s family for all the amazing care he received and all the visits and support given during his lengthy illness especially noting his Health Care and Home Care Providers, Neighbours, Family and Friends.
