Condolence: It is with great sadness that Danielle and I received the news of our dear friend Barry’s passing Friday morning. We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Myra, Tom Kathie, Angela, Howard and the grand kids Alexandra, Daniella, Devon and Shane. A few decades ago, in one of my posting to Kingston Ontario, I met Barry and Myra at a motorcycle shop, yes you can guess right it was the Harley Davidson shop in Kingston. Barry the historian of the Harley Owners Group invited this soldier to a meeting and a coffee, and from there our friendship grew to becoming part of his family. An outstanding communicator he always beat the drum of communication and ensured that friends and family including the U.S.A, and even a bit farther while I was in Afghanistan, were well aware of significants events regarding all or any of us. A man with a heart of gold, the strength of an ox, the sweetness of silk and the fire in his eyes he was always ready to help at a moment’s notice. Believe it or not, my friendship came with a cost... yup it was the infamous Wilton Cheese Factory curd cheese, once my friendship dues were paid, great discussion, family and bike stories were on the agenda and when the grand kids were a few years younger, the proud grand papa showing in the kitchen pillar the newest mark that one of them left behind... Well my friend, now you can go for that wild ride with all our friends that went before you as long as you keep rubber side to the clouds... I know you will keep overwatch over all of us. Condolence: Barry, you have left a hole in my heart. I know as a christian that going home to the father is a joyous event. It is hard to see that from the world. You are missed my brother and my regret is that we did not have as much time to spend together as I would have liked. Ride save up there brother..
