Condolence: Hey All, Many years ago we were so fortunate to meet Eileen when Shae attended NPS. Then as time went on we met Larry. As a Newburgh volunteer firefighter, I also met other family as our activities were intertwined with Barefooting coverage and Canal Bash events. The one thing that always prevailed during all this time was the love and sincerity that was everywhere. Eileen always had a smile and when I met Larry, that is what I remembered with him as well. they have always been a bright spot in our time in Newburgh and the memories will brighten the darkest day. Our sincere condolences to all the family. Joe, Sue, & Shae Condy

Condolence: Elaine and family. So sad to hear about Duane. He was always so kind and helpful to me. I always felt like he treated me like a daughter and so I can only imagine what sadness they must feel. I will miss giving him one of my craft ideas and having him make minor changes and suggestions. And the times I would meet in his workshop for a lesson on cutting steel or sanding. Hugs to you my friend. Love you guys so much. xoxo

Condolence From: Meaghan "Rosie" Leduc
Condolence: We were not related, we never worked together, we didn't attend the same church nor did we run in the same social circles. However, I did have the privilege of serving Duane and Elaine their dinner every Friday night for many years. Duane (who affectionately referred to me as Rosie) always had a smile, a quick wit and a werthers candy to share. I will miss him dearly, Fridays just won't be the same.

Condolence From: Lawrence and Joanne
Condolence: To our good friend Elaine and your Family, We will very much miss our good friend ! Duane and I spent many hours together in his very tidy workshop discussing life, the importance of family, politics in Stone Mills, and of course, determining what was missing in his shop that he would search out at the next auction ... and without either of us telling you Elaine. I will cherish our time together, his words of wisdom, his short stories (!!), and his many sayings ... “Today is always a good day!” My only regret is not telling him how much of a hero he was and a model to live by ! Love and prayers, Lawrence and Joanne
