Doughty; Ernest Wesley "Ernie" - Peacefully, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, with the love of his family around him, at the L&A County General Hospital on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the age of 78. Cherished husband of Mary (nee Baikie) for 56 years and loving father of Andy Doughty (Laurie) St Thomas and Julie Babcock (Greg) Ottawa. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Craig Doughty (Jaymee), Megan and AJ Babcock. Ernie was predeceased by his parents; Frank and Jean Doughty, his step-mother Juanita (Marton) Doughty and brother Frank “Bud” Doughty (Sandra). He is fondly remembered by his step-brother Rick Marton (Theresa), step-sister Ann Pindar (late Ken), his sisters’ in-law and brothers’ in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home - Napanee Chapel on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Masonic Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Church on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am, with interment to follow at Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston. Friends desiring may contribute by cheque or credit card to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation, Trinity United Church or Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
