Condolence: Mrs Tucker Brumwell was our daughter's teacher I should say saviour. She came in to her class after a disasterous year and saved her. She knows each of her students and cares for each one. Gerry and I were so grateful she came into our daughter's life. It is teacher's like her that make the teaching system the great one it was in Deseronto. That she stayed with us was a blessing from God and I'm sure there are many more stories like ours and if all of the upcoming teachers could be trained in her image parents would be very blessed.
As a person she too was great as I worked on a couple of committees under her or with.
It makes no difference at what age you lose a mother it is still hard. We just lost Gerry's{my husband who passed in Jan. 2013} Mom, she was the last of that generation in the family and had just turned 90; in contrast I lost mine in 1980 and she was 70.
I know all who really knew her will miss her and I am truly sorry I could not be there to say this personally.

Condolence: Dear family of Joyce Tucker,
I got to know Joyce while living in Deseronto in the late 1970's. Her late husband Ted and my late husband Bill were good friends. When I moved back to Finland in 1989, we kept in touch by letters and later by email. I received news about her family she dearly loved and was proud of. She also liked to write about her volunteer work. My husband and I visited Joyce in 2010 and stayed a few nights on the farm. She was always hospitable and kind.I admired how active she was. Even during our visit she went to the gym and invited us along. I have such good memories of her.
I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. May God give you strength, and comfort you in your sorrow.

My most heartfelt sympathy to everyone. I worked with Joyce on Committees and Volunteer Services at the hospital through the years. She was such a wonderful lady, and always had valuable contributions. There was never a time Joyce didn't greet you with a smile and lovely greeting, she certainly lead by example.
May your precious memories help each of you during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
